What is Energy Medicine & Emotion Medicine?

Our energy bodies and emotional bodies are our subtle bodies that require special vision to perceive. All can acquire the ability to perceive and work with these bodies in a healing manner.

I perceive the physical, chemical, and emotional bodies to be built on the energy body. Very commonly there is an interplay between all the bodies, and one must listen and the body will guide you to address the correct body in the right order and timing.

The Energy Body

The energy body is kind of like the physical body. Both of them have deep layers, superficial layers, and stuff that goes between those deep and superficial layers.

Infrastructure

For me, the vertical two-by-fours of the physical body are in part the bones, but also importantly the fluid body (made of blood, lymph, and cerebral spinal fluid). Similarly, in the energy body, I look for the vertical organization primarily through the sushumna nadi, the energy field that runs up and down the spine.

The horizontal infrastructure of the physical body is through the five major transverse planes called diaphragms:

  1. The Pelvic Diaphragm
  2. The Respiratory Diaphragm
  3. The Thoracic Inlet/Outlet Diaphragm
  4. The Throat/Tongue/Hard Palate Diaphragm
  5. Tentorium/Sphenoid Diaphragm

These five major transverse planes are girded by proper positioning and function of organs, and are activated through proper breathing, proper movement, and proper activation of the postural muscles.

The horizontal infrastructure of the energy body are the chakras. The chakras move in the transverse plane through the front and the back of the physical body. Of course it will come as no surprise that the major chakras are closely related in proximity to the physical transverse planes.

  1. The Root Chakra (at the bottom of the pelvic diaphragm)
  2. The Sacral Chakra (at the top of the pelvic diaphragm)
  3. The Solar Plexus Chakra (at the bottom of the respiratory diaphragm)
  4. The Heart Chakra (at the top of the respiratory diaphragm and bottom of the thoracic diaphragm)
  5. The Throat Chakra (at the top of the thoracic diaphragm and bottom of the throat diaphragm
  6. The Third Eye Chakra (at the top of the throat diaphragm and bottom of the tentorium diaphram)
  7. The Crown Chakra (at the top of the tentorium diaphragm)

Superficial Layers

I see the muscles, fascia, fat, and skin as part of the “exoskeleton” of the physical body. (Of course there are deep muscles, fat, and fascia, also.) These are our most superficial barriers of the physical body.

The superficial barriers for the energy body that I now work with most are called by Barbara Brennan the Etheric Template Body (about 2 feet away from the physical body) and the Ketheric Template Body (about 3 feet away from the physical body). These bodies are kind of like energy eggs that hold the physical body.

Inclusions

In both the physical body and the energy body incorrect inclusions can develop or be injected into either body.

In the physical body common inclusions that develop are tumors, and common inclusions that are injected are hardware for stabilizing bones, vessels or organs, and esthetic augmentation.

In the energy body common inclusions that develop are contracts, lies we have come to accept as truth, and unresolved prior life stories or karma. Common injections into the energy body are cordings.

All energetic inclusions represent sub-par functioning of the energy system, and thus the physical system, and must be rectified for proper function to occur.

The Emotional Body

The emotional body is designed to have emotions flow through it. The emotional body does not have a judgment about ¨good¨or ¨bad¨emotions. All the emotions are fine. The problem is when they get stuck. Each emotion has a special affinity with a certain organ that processes out the emotion. For instance, liver processes out anger, kidneys process fear, and sadness is processed in the lungs. Sometimes an emotion gets stuck in an organ and that is a problem. When an emotion is stuck in an organ, we are stuck in the past, and that organ cannot function at tip top capacity.

A couple other things that can happen with emotions are seepage and translation. Seepage occurs when a stuck emotion saturates the organ responsible for clearing it, so a back up system is called in to support the processing of the emotion. For instance, the intestines are the back up system for the lungs. So many times when people are overwhelmed with grief they will experience diarrhea as part of moving through the grief.

Translation of emotions occurs when the wrong organ or system is attempting to help process out an emotion. You will see this commonly in personality types that are overly helpful. Their organs and energy systems are also overly helpful, and this creates disorganization.

All bodies function best when each is doing what it is designed to do in the way it was designed to do it.

Why Are We Here?

We are here to experience joy and life abundant. We are here to connect, to love, and to grow in community. To be able to experience all that, the soul must be liberated from contracts we came into this life to fulfill, or from unresolved outcomes in previous lives. When trauma in this life prevents us from living life abundant, the seeds for that trauma have generally been sown in prior lives or contracts.

We are meant to joy!

The fastest way I know of getting to joy is through energy work and emotional work.

Let´s do it!
