Most health conditions I see have a component of functional medicine and a component of manual medicine. Many also have a neurologic component. Commonly I will have patients provide their old labs and we will continue the investigation with additional labs. As we work together, you and I will be paying attention to how all the bodies are resonating and which voice needs to speak. After addressing the biochemical body with lab work (typically), I begin by assessing the fluid body by palpating by the sternum. This is the mouth of the vascular and lymphatic rivers in the body. These rivers will help guide us to the blockages that are causing pain and dysfunction in your body.
Sometimes the blockage is best met with a chiropractic adjustment, other times with visceral manipulation, energy work, or mind/body therapy in the form of neuroemotional technique. Sometimes the blockage is a genetic mutation that requires an epigenetic solution. Sometimes the blockage is inflammation caused by blood sugar dysregulation, chronic infection, or dysregulation of the energy or nervous system. Sometimes the blockage needs a new movement pattern – strengthening or stretching, finding posture neutral, and even breathing.
Reproductive health, digestion, bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor concerns are my areas of emphasis.
The main techniques I use are the Barral Technique of visceral and vascular manipulation, Holistic Pelvic Care, Herman & Wallace intrapelvic care, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, diversified chiropractic, activator, sacro-occipital technique, functional medicine, functional neurology, and vitalistic medicine.
